Dr. Mukul Padalkar

Veterinarian

Dr. Padalkar always wanted to become a veterinarian and her interest solidified when she volunteered as a kid at Pet Aid, a small animal clinic in Pune, India, her hometown.

She graduated from Bombay Veterinary College, India in 2010 and earned a Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2012. She was a general practitioner in India for 5 years, where she also worked at a first-of-its-kind diagnostic lab and performed ultrasound scans on a referral basis. She then completed a year-long rotating internship at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 and after completing ECFVG certification she joined The City Pet Hospital in 2020. 

What Dr. Padalkar finds most rewarding is being able to make a difference for her patients and their families; whether it’s a wellness exam for newly adopted pup/kitten, or a diagnostic/treatment plan for a pet who has suddenly become sick or providing palliative care for a geriatric one. Her professional interests of diagnostic imaging, emergency medicine, dentistry and surgery. In her free time, she indulges in various artistic ventures and explores the outdoors with her husband.
